Stainless constructions are structures made of stainless materials, often stainless steel or inox.
All stainless steels/inox are iron-based alloys, which means that the iron content is
at least 50%. The stainless state of the steel means that it does not rust/corrodes in prolonged contact with water or humidity.
The
corrosion resistance of steel is mainly due to the alloy element chromium, which has the property to cause passivation. Even with a low chromium concentration of 12%, we can talk about stainless steel/inox.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of stainless steel/inox?

- The main advantage of stainless steels - inox is their corrosion resistance. Corrosion resistance means that the materials are durable in a humid atmosphere or resistant to acids, alkalis, etc. It is important to note that not all stainless steel/inox is resistant to all aggressive media, so it is important to carefully select the material according to the specific environment in which steel will be placed.
- In addition to corrosion resistance, the advantages include aesthetic appearance, thermal resistance, low cost in a sustainable age, complete recycling, biological neutrality and light processing. The disadvantage is their price, because they are about three times more expensive than conventional steels.
