CNC cutting of sheet metal
Several different types and possibilities of cutting sheet metal exist. We offer two of them:
	- flame (autogenic) and
- plasma CNC cutting of sheet metal.
What is Autogenic (Flame) Cutting?
This is a cutting in which heat is obtained from the flame of oxygen and combustible gas (acetylene, propane or natural gas). This is the earliest process that has been used in industry since 1908 and is used for cutting structural steels.
Which materials are suitable autogenic (flame) cutting and what are its advantages?
Autogenic cutting is used to cut thicker materials and the cutting speed is lower. The accuracy of the cutting depends on the thickness of the material. Flame cutting is mainly used for cutting structural steels up to approx. 300 mm. It is especially suitable for thicker materials such as
structural or stainless steel up to a thickness of 300 mm.
Advantages:
	- cutting of demanding and simple shapes is possible,
- thicker material can also be cut.
What is Plasma CNC Cutting?
CNC plasma cutting machine is used ever more frequently; it is mostly present in the fields of automotive, aeronautics and locksmithing industries. This is precise cutting, so plasma cutting is used for cutting, drilling and shaping of sheet metal, as well as for cutting angular profiles and hoses. Plasma CNC cutting is a process in which the plasma jet (gas) melts the material and cuts it.
Which materials are suitable for plasma (CNC) cutting and what are its advantages?
Plasma is known to be an effective means of cutting thin and thicker materials (up to 30 mm). It is suitable for cutting stainless steels with high chromium and nickel content, high quality tool steels and aluminium.
Advantages:
	- very precise marking of points,
- curves and lines,
- high quality cutting of sheet metal,
- higher cutting speeds and thus higher productivity,
- allows longer life of cut material and
- lower cutting costs.
Here are just a few facts and information to make it easier to place an order, and prepare the cutting material correctly:
	- maximum sheet size: 6000 x 2500 mm
- thickness of flame cutting: up to 140 mm
- thickness of plasma cutting: up to 30 mm
