Sealing technique
Why do we use seals?
Even the best bearing cannot prove its advantages if we do not ensure proper sealing.
Quality seals are essential for smooth operation of a machine or a device, as they prolong its lifetime.
Seals protect various mechanical elements from foreign objects and moisture. Seal’s grip and pressure are key elements in assessing the effectiveness of the sealing element. Seals connect systems or mechanisms operating under the same pressure.
What types of seals can you find in our sales programme?
- Oil seals (semerings): their task is to protect the equipment from foreign objects and other external elements, and are used especially for sealing the housings. They consist of a support ring, a spring and an elastomer. When selecting the appropriate seal, refer to the operating temperature, working conditions, and the rotational speed of the pressure and shaft;
- Hydraulic seals: are key elements in changing pneumatic and hydraulic forces into linear motion;
- O-seals: are the most commonly used seals, mainly due to low price and efficiency. Their main advantage lies in easy installation, easy maintenance and repair options. They are used for all liquid and gaseous media. They are not suitable for dynamic use, because due to sliding motion, they do not guarantee the necessary lubrication, thus wearing out fast.
- V-seals: are made of high quality materials and can stand high pressure;
- Sealing cords: are useful for fixing because they are resistant to temperature differences, steam and various chemicals that can they can be exposed to. Their use is required in sealing pumps, valves and mixers;
- Wipers: are used as an obstacle from the intrusion of dirt and particles into the interior of the device. They are essential for pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
We offer seals in various materials such as NBR, Viton (Fluorine), EPDM, silicone.
