Screw conveyors
The screw conveyors are used to transport materials from one part of the production to another location within the production. Their technology allows the transfer of materials in any direction, horizontally and vertically as well as around obstacles, so they are one of the most widespread and efficient technologies for transport across the production plant.
How do screw conveyors work?
The technology of transfer of materials is based on a shaft, rotating around its axis and due to its helical/screw shape (hence the name screw conveyors) pushes the materials in the desired direction. The screw shaft is surrounded by a housing that can be tubular or trough.
The highest quality screw conveyors are made of structural steel, stainless steel or hardox. These materials ensure a good sealing of the frame, which allows transport of dusty materials or unpleasant odour materials without polluting the production area and impeccable transfer of raw materials from one working process in the production on the other.
Which industries use the spiral conveyors?
Spiral conveyors are used in many industries and production plants, where work processes take place in different phases, with each phase requiring input materials. They can be used for removal, transport and storage of materials. Due to their shape and relative small size, they do not need a lot of space, they can be installed on a ceiling, on the floor or on a wall.
Our expertise and specialised knowledge enable us to offer you a
wide range of premium quality screw conveyors. We can manufacture various screw conveyors for different industries and work processes, in different sizes, lengths, configurations and various materials.
Advantages of screw conveyors compared to other transfer technologies of raw materials in production:
- small or zero loss of raw material during transport compared to other mechanical transports in production,
- can transport cold and hot materials,
- good sealing, allows the transfer of dust particles and raw materials that emit unpleasant odours,
- flexibility and smallness in comparison with other technologies of mechanical transport,
- can be installed on ceilings, floors or walls, which helps with the work process and allows maximum utilisation of the production space.
Disadvantages of screw conveyors:
- possibility of a reduced rate of transfer of raw materials in the case of different slopes within one transport system,
- limited amount of transfer of raw materials (in case the need for raw material increases, it is necessary to install an additional screw conveyor or implement a larger one).
Based on our knowledge and competences, we offer a wide range of excellent quality screw conveyors, made of various materials for many industries. We are specialists for screw conveyors. Our past work, long presence on the market and satisfied customers confirm our quality and professionalism in carrying out our business.
